Very nice setup. Would love to hear it. Something to be said about vintage audio

wow, that Superphon cdmaxx sounds perfect. nice piece, never heard of it. very good control and flexibility.  Read the reviews. Awsome.

Yes, definetly a marvelous Hobby, I  could not agree more. Great reviews on your Benchmark HGC DAC2, beautiful piece and utilization of it's capabilities. Currently, using a vintage piece as a Preamp, (1985) restored and upgraded Superphon CDMAXX, Active and Passive capable, the predecessor to the Superphon Revelation II designed by Stan Warren of PS Audio, (Shunt Regulation, FET, Dual Mono Volume for channels, separate E-type Transformer for power supply, no tone controls, or bass or treble controls). Enjoyed the restore process and musicality it renders. A simple design.

Yes Paul, give it a try, The active crossover for these 4 way speakers is  very revealing. The 4350's can only be run bi-amped. that's how they were built. You have very nice components. Also not using a preamp, using the Benchmark unit as a pass through from sources for volume and switching only.  GREAT HOBBY,  Ken

Thanks Ken, will see what results in trying. The Active crossover setup you have must be very revealing with music, filtering at line levels and truly isolating your Hi's and Low's. Currently, I have 3 Amps using Passive Bi-Amping for 2 Pairs of speakers and standard bridge connection with another set of speakers and separate Amplifier. (Rotel RB-1590, RB-1572 and Acurus A-250)

HI Paul, have all the amps connected to zones A, & D. I do have 2- 20 amp dedicated outlets and have tried both into the wall and P-10. Prefer the p10 on my system. quieter, better imaging and more soundstage. I have to say the p10 was the one piece of equipment that made the most improvement for me. I have heard that suggestion also. If your bi-amping it might be hard to tell on the low end. try it,  Ken

Hi Ken, am wondering what configuration/power connection you have for setup with your Primluna's and your P10? Are you using Zone E and Zone D?. Reason being is right now all my Amps are connected to P10 as well as sources and am hearing advice from our local HiFi shop technician to connect amplifiers directly to the wall outlets, (Have PS Audio Powerports). The opinion here is that there will be a significant improvement in specifically 'soundstage and imaging'. I am trying to understand the logic as do not have 20amp wiring or 20amp circuit unfortunately.

Thanks Paul for the nice compliment. It is lots of fun. the sound is amazingly live. Like sitting on the the 7th row. Room was built for the speakers. Learned everything on the internet. I buy equipment by the pound if possible. These JBL's take a special room to sound there best. (2 houses 2 rooms)  I was determined to build a better one this time. Took about 3 years. Never get bored with these.Even lousy recordings sound good.,  Regards Ken

This is Fabulous. Your treatments are detailed and clearly lots of thought went into your listening room, must be a musical nirvana.
