These live in a great room, opens to dinning and kitchen. roughly 20x30 plus kitchen off to the side. The corner setup is pretty much required due to the room and a wood stove which pretty much owns the room. There are a couple of articles floating around out there talking about the dynamics of a corner setup. One big win is 1st reflections off the side walls are all but removed. Also placing gear between speakers is typically death to a sound stage. Setup like I have places the gear 4' behind the speaker plane which relives this issue as well. I love the speakers and unless I have to down size don't think I'll ever replace. The SEs have the old sound which gave way to the more technical tone of the newer generations of SF speakers. Although they do low end very nicely the addition of S812s makes these amazing and much more involving
