Very nice system and similar to mine in many ways. I have the same Thiel CS3.6’S in Walnut on Sound Anchors stands. Can I ask what you paid for the Townsend stands? I also have a Linn LP12 with Ittok arm.

To the person who suggested positioning the speakers along the short wall, I tried this in my rectangular living room and the sound quality was not engaging. The way you have your speakers positioned is nearly identical to the way I have mine. I have no room treatments though.

Thank you! The system is “still evolving” and my next step will be rebuilding & improving my Thiels - upgrading crossovers.

My audio room is on the second floor of my home so I needed better isolation of speaker-induced low frequency  vibrations. The Townshend podiums do a pretty good job with this while also doing no harm with other aspects of my system. Overall a good improvement in my system.

great well sorted system and a comfortable room :-) very very nice.

How do you like the Townshend Podiums ?

Thanks very much. I’m pretty much married to my Naim electronics and my 3.6s-which are 21 years old. Based on listening to some new and more expensive speakers, they still sound better than most.
Hope you hang on to your 3:6s. Unless I decide to upgrade to newer Thiels, I expect to hang on to these.

Thanks Oran-I appreciate your comments.
The Tandberg was recently rebuilt by Soundsmith in Peekskill, NY. I was really happy with the results especially since It’s really hard finding good techs for these decks.
Best,
Mike

Congrats on a great stereo. I love the Tandberg tape deck and I really dig the tight and precise look of your system. It manages to have a very powerful and elegant look at the same time. Well done.

I actually didn’t realize that the book was visible!  :)

Thanks!
Naim equipment is a great match; Naim amp has no trouble driving my 3.6s to levels louder than I care to listen and is tight and accurate.
I wanted to keep the speaker away from the right-side wall since I’m in a condo and it’s the adjoining wall. Maybe some day I’ll try changing the setup but I’m not sure it’d be worth the effort since I’m happy with the setup as-is.
Best.

Beautiful!  Bet it sounds great too!  How does the Naim equipment pair with the Thiels, esp the amplification?  Have you ever tried the setup firing down the length of the room rather than the width?

Love the book! System looks great and I'm sure sounds the as well.
