The Lyngdorf replaced the AHB2 which replaced the Pass XA25 which replaced the Wells Majestic. Each fantastic in their own way.
The Lyngdorf has the Room Perfect room optimization system but equally important also includes 8 separate implemental user designated filters (PEQ, Hi Shelf, Low Shelf, etc.) allowing the user to tailor the final sound to their room/liking.
Lyngdorf calls itself a digital amplifier because it takes the input digital signal from various sources and converts them directly to an analog speaker output.
The Lyngdorf is also a streamer. I’m using it to stream Tidal. Streaming represents about 80% of my music listening while CDs get the remaining 20%.
