Description

The pentagonally shaped room works like a charm but, being large, has required lots of amplifying power (12 channels each of which has 200W capacity). I've been in love with electrostic speakers for decades but the full range Sound Labs units are a dream come true.

The syatem is used for audio AND video - I cannot tolerate poor sound. Previously a vinyl addict I'm now a digital convert with all players modded.

Really I'm at the end of the audio road. Might change the projector soon (it has done nearly 12,000 hours) + maybe other video items.

You have great gear and I love the presentation diagrams
you created (in Visio?)!

As a former UX-1 LE owner, I'm curious why you chose to skip
the high quality balanced DACs in the UX-1LE itself and route
everything over unencrypted digital link to the Benchmark DAC?

Does this actually sound better in your system? How does SACD down-mixed to 2-channel PCM sound once it goes to your DAC over whatever digital link you are using?

If I've misunderstood your setup, please let me know.
