Thanks for the comment. The base is do make a difference specially if you’re not on a concrete floor, I decided to do the bases after installing quite a few granite bases for Vanderteens for John at Audio connection the bases don’t just help the bass they helped the sound of the entire speaker. It’s like taking a photograph hand holding a camera or taking a photograph on a tripod imaging better focus so the more stable your speaker. It’s like putting a camera on a tripod. It’s not gonna move. That’s why I don’t understand why people put their speakers on top of spring platforms. You’re just making your image out of Focus. The bases are bolted to the sevens which you can’t bolt them to the bottom of the trio or the Quattro but talking to Richard you’ll be getting about 80% effectiveness compared to the seventh
As far as having an a maid, I went to a counter shop and it’s they’re made with absolute black granite which I was told is the heaviest they’re three layers thick and the pair I had made the guy only charged me 600 because he had the granite in stock if he didn’t have the granite in stock, they would’ve been around 12 and not every counter top place would even make them so you’re gonna have to shop around but again definitely think it’s worth the effort and the money
