Description

As you can see from this list, I've amassed quite a collection of gear all in the midpriced range.

My main rig is a Michell Gyrodec SE w/ Technoarm and Shure V15 V and Sumiko Blackbird through a Graham Slee Era V. Digital is an OPPO 83SE and Cambridge DACMAGIC. This fed into a Cary SLI-80 running TAD KT88s into Gallo Reference 3.1.

I've recently moved and had a baby so I now have little time to sort out system synergy and need to unload my stored equipment. I have ~2000 LPs and am trying to rip most of my CDs so I can thin that out. Analog is important to me for dedicated listening and digital for convenience/background. I have a whole house speaker set-up and will use that for background running off of my hard drive. Cool jazz tends to be on the TT most alongside early UK punk and 70s Soul Funk.

Question is, am I missing something in terms of putting some of this stuff together? I come to the forum because I don't want to sell something I might regret later. I need to assemble my master bedroom again, then the rest has to go. Any thoughts?

@Shakeydeal- It's not exactly a closet, but the spread between walls is 11' minus the door swing, so I have 8' to work with. Central listening position is 10' back. I wish I could spread them apart a bit more. The speakers are in line, so that's not a problem. Soundstage is surprisingly good.
@TSV-1 Yeah. I do like the Gallos quite bit. I am using the Silverline SR-17 in another room with a ho-hum receiver. Those are amazingly good speakers using Dynaudio drivers-fast and resolving with a touch more bass defintion than the house Dynaudios of the same price range. I think I'm going to swap out carts and get the Sumiko or the Denon into the rig. Moving coil carts have magical definition.

Thanks both of you for the suggestions! -WC
