600hrs on the DeVores now and they’ve really morphed. Sounding great. Some harshness I was hearing earlier has evaporated. The soundstage and imaging are beautiful after a lot of repositioning including rotating my entire room 90°. They’re around 32” from the front wall now, 8’ apart and 9.5’ from my ears which are just above cabinet height. Lots of improvement here. Added a better Mojo Audio DAC too (what a gem). Added a lot of room treatment.
I’ve squeezed about as much out of this current room config as I can and I’m not hearing what I want to. Next step is the 90° rotation game and modifying acoustic treatments to whatever degree my wife will tolerate.
I’m really happy with the Mojo digital front end. I built it up one top end piece at a time and it’s become an anchor in my system. Benjamin @Mojo is a good guy.
Love the aesthetic of the room! You have taste. Very intrigued by the Mojo digital products.
Don't give up on rearranging speaker position, I went from the supposed "optimal" setup (which never sounded right to me) to rotating 90 degrees and never looking back. Had to change all my acoustic panels but it was worth it in the long run.
I feel fairly certain my room is not working well. I spent 5-6 hours auditioning well broken-in 0/96s with a Leben 300 which is not much of a departure from my Decware Torii IV. The sound was quite nice. I’m trying to be patient and settle in for a few months before I consider changes. I may rotate my room 90° to try sitting and listening with different geometry.
