I have never heard this before. Could be several factors involved. I assume you spent considerable time auditioning them before purchasing.
I’d reach out to John Devore about it. He, if anyone, should have some valuable insights / suggestions regarding your equipment pairing, room, etc.
At the end of the day, if nothing works for you, it happens sometimes, albeit being financially and emotionally painful.
