If it's a tube DAC that you're after, consider a California Audio Labs Alpha. It's a discontinued item, so only available used (typically $400-$500, or a couple hundred more with the 24/96 upgrade). I've also heard Bel Canto's DAC, which is also very good (but no tubes).
Maybe instead of just a DAC you should consider a whole new player, such as the Shanling T100 or some of the offerings by Cary and Meridian. That way you could save your existing player for a second system.
