Yes, with the calibre of equipments you are using should just go for it, make Maxx3 your last speaker instead then be done! No doubt, your gears and ears will easily tell you the vast differences between these two. Cheers!

Just bougt a pair of Wilson Audio's MAXX 2 they're much better than B&W's 800D.

I forgot to mention 2 things, the VPI rack and Core Audio Design platforms, they were a great upgrade, so much that soon i'll be replacing the spiders with 2 Core Audio Designs 3 shelves audio rack.

I'll try and explain, altough i like the Diablo the Chord combo is simply a whole other leauge one that's simple it's one of the best out there (for me is the best IMHO).

I'd say it's very neutral sound, the players are in the room with you and that's what it's all about for me.
For the record i also have a pair of Dynaudio Confidence C4 on my second system power by gryphon Diablo.

GREAT SYSTEM-since not alot is written about the chord- what kind of sound does it produce- is it more SS or tube??- I m looking for a preamp to mate with my big ATC's and need something a little softer??

Well, i used to own pricesily a spm-5000E and altough very good doesn't even get close to the performance of these 14000's, these are simply magical, pity the price of admission is so high.

$75.000 amps ... whooa ! I have heard the 5000 and 801 combo during The HiFi Show in London a few years back - that was a memorable experience. The bass, in particular was amazing. Deep, articulate, fast. I have never heard anything quite like this since.

Thanks Surfgod, i know what you mean some people will make fun of things they probably can't afford, so it's easier to bash. I love the sound i have and that's what matters to me.
