Thanks very much - I wish that CH had a P10 phono stage already but since they don't, I assume you mean the CH L10 mono preamplifier.

As for how the CH M10 compares to the CH M1.1 - well you have to hear it to believe what the M10 can do. It is better than the M1.1 in every audio parameter that you can imagine and by a very significant amount. And to me, the M1.1 is an amazing amplifier and continues to be so, but the M10 is just  such a significant achievement. If you haven't read Robert Harley's review of the L10 and M10 then please do so as what Robert has written is very accurate as to what I hear in my own system.

I agree that the Arrakis by themselves are very capable of producing plenty of tight, textured and resolved bass especially when driven by the CH Precision M1.1 mono block amps running in active bi amplification mode (which is how I am using them).

I have found that the addition of the REL G1 subs in the six pack configuration that when properly dialed in to the room and to the Arrakis, take that even further. But in addition to enhancing the bottom end musical foundation, the REL G1's enhance the mid bass, midrange and high frequencies as well and also bring a sense of the venue where the musical performance was recorded.

To be honest, I was surprised by the improvements that I heard when I compared the Shunyata Everest to my Triton V3. The Triton V3 is a great product in its own right, but the Everest 8000 is better across the board. To be a little more specific, it presents an even lower noise floor than the Triton V3, it has better dynamics than the Triton V3, it has better attack on the leading edge of notes, the top end is significantly more open with better body and sparkle on the high notes, the bottom end is more solid, it has better resolution and textures across the board and the soundstage with the right recordings is even wider. I have tried enough different music now - both digital and analog and the results are very consistent. Hope that helps.

Could you please compare the audible effect the Shunyata Everest 8000 Power Distributor vs. the Shunyata Triton V3?

I have made some changes in my system in the past 18 months so I wanted to bring my system page up to date. The key changes are:

1. I am now using The Beat SE Turntable from Steve Dobbins.

2. I am now using almost all Nordost Odin 2 cabling with a few Nordost Valhalla 2 power cords sprinkled in.

3. I am now using the new Lyra Atlas SL Lambda cartridge replacing my Lyra Etna SL cartridge.

4. I am now using the new Shunyata Everest 8000 Power Distributor replacing the Shunyata Triton V3.

5. I've added a few higher quality pictures.

The LP was Dream with Dean and it was probably the first track on the LP but I can't be sure about that.

When Chris visited last year, he recalled you playing a Dean Martin track on LP and was astounded by the recording; especially the bass.

Would you happen to recall what that track was?

I want to see if it's listed on Tidal.

The CH Precision P1 phono stage, L1 line stage and the M1.1 mono block amplifiers are certainly for me in my system as good as it gets. I initially replaced my Absolare tubed preamp and my Allnic H5000 phono stage and 6 months after that replaced my VTL Siegfried series 2 amps. All of these electronics are wonderful but there is something special for me about the CH electronics (and not having to deal deal with the occasional tube failures, noise, etc is an added plus).

I have met Elliot at the Munich Hi-End show when I attended that in May 2018 but I already had a CH dealer that I am very happy with.

I am so very happy with my Totaldac D1-twelve digital front end so I don't have any plans on replacing that.

Arnie....do you ever rest? Looks like you have been very busy pushing the boundaries on your system playback again,.....CH Precision? Wow! That's another big jump for you.  I heard multiple racks of their gear and also 2 rooms loaded with Wadax Reference and Atlantis last May and would be interested in your take on your new CH acquisitions and what else you may be considering from them (Transport, Dual Mono DAC?) and how you feel it all compares to things you've heard and also those you've owned in the past.

Did you work with Elliott at Bending Wave by any chance on the CH purchases?

This room continues to be one of the best and most appealing in the world to me on this forum or any other!

Yes indeed, Chris was here this past week.

I think the Telos GNR units are very effective especially if you have everything else in your system fine tuned. To my ears, they impart a sense of finesse and coherence to the sound of my system which contributes to a greater sense of realism to what I hear. This becomes obvious when you listen with the GNR unit on and then shut it off. There is no break in required so you hear its effects immediately. I did not go through the process of identifying the lowest impedance connection points with a multimeter.

I have had the TotalDAC D1-Twelve digital front end (2 mono Dac's, outboard re clocker and the D1-server) for the past 4 years. I haven't found any issues in those 4 years with it being able to play any file types that I use.

The D1-Player is relatively new - I have had it in my system for about 3 months. When combined with the D1-Server it certainly was a sonic improvement compared to the QNAP NAS and Hynes Linear power supply that I had been using. I have not compared it to any other server/streamer so I cannot comment on that.

Remind me to tell you about the huge leap that adding the new TYPHON QR to my setup with the TRITON v3 a few months ago caused.  I did not think things could sound better from the power aspect; I was wrong...the TYPHON QR has put a musical advancement into my system that really surprised me.
