Description

I should probably call my system Shoe maker's son's system as I am always missing something.

Whenever I get something for myself someone buys it soon. (YES! this whole system is for sale too!!!)

It is fair to say that our baby boy, SORA listen to the system more than anyone else...mainly Japanese Anpanman, american elmer, sesamee street music, etc. and her mother's songs.

I went for the best I could get without any compromise. The sound is great. Feels very neutral and real life.

I never thought i would spend much on wires but ended up with Indra and some great custom made wires by a Japanese company. These wires are not commercially available yet.

My wife who is a professional singer and is not impressed with mumbo jumbo, loves the sound and even likes the music playback of her own records.

Given we live in San Francisco and space is a rarity, we have made lots of compromises including the placement of the speakers...trying to keep them away from the baby boy's fingers.

When/if you are in San Francisco, be my guest and take a listen....in particular to my AMAZON, and ZYX UNIverse as soon as I get my own items!

Thanks for looking,

SORA, Nami and Mehran

    • ZYX UNIverse
The best cartridge I have ever heard!
    • Zanden Signature and upgraded!
Once i stick to a maker, that is it for me...
    • Zanden Phono Stage Model 1200
I have not even run it as it seems like each time i get my own turntable someone else buys it!
    • Zanden 7000-300B
When i first demoed this in Japan, I ran it with a $60 alarm clock CD player....it was the best sound at my home till then.
    • Auris by Musical Affairs Sonatine
This one is the first and only one in America. Less than a week old. All solid wood, made to order by me...same material as musical instruments such as Violin and Cello.
    • Klyne 7.3.5 with phono card
I love Klyne. I have used mine less than 20 hours in the year I have had. i will probably be using it with a second system at my home.
    • AMAZON REFERENZ
Gorgeous looks and sound. I have had three as end consumer. When I bought their model one three years ago in Tokyo, my only regret was i did not go full force for the Referenz model. Now I have fullfilled my dream but seems like each time i get my own, someone else buys it....
    • Triplanar MK VII
Hand made, great work and great match with my ZYX. I love tone-arms in general, maybe because i love good bicycles and great watches. I could even see myself collecting tonearms without using them....not really.
    • Driade By Philippe Starck
Oh, now i gave it away....i am not an audiophile! My racks are not good for music. But i love the tables...I will be doing something fun soon....but at the end of the day, i live for life and music is a part of it....i like to surround myself with beauty rather than be a capture of my hobby.....too late, i know.
    • Musical Affairs Cones and pads
I am not a tweak guy...no patience for it...but Hans made some for me. I have used them and like them. I tried to sell some on audiogon on honor system basis but no one bought them so i started giving them as gifts to people!
