The current generation Lumin line is as good as it gets. The Lumin U1 Audiophile Streaming Transport sounded even better than my former Innuos Zenith 3! If you are here, you should already know it’s received amazing reviews.

I tried the Lumin U1 with my reference DAC – Esoteric N-01XD, which in itself has a Lumin network streaming unit built in. That in itself should have said it all. 

I also tried it with my Active Dutch & Dutch 8c with nothing but a Mogami Gold AES digital cable and the sound was stunning as well – punchy, dynamic, detailed and transparent. 

The Lumin has two USB ports for you to use external USB drive or Flash drive directly. It is very easy to setup and use. The Lumin App works great. You can use other apps such as Audirvana, Roon, M Connect etc.
