The Luxman R-1040 is a receiver with the outstanding Lux pedigree. It has a output of at least 40 watts continuous per channel into 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20,000Hz with no more than 0.05% total harmonic distortion. For the first time in this class of receiver an LED indicator is used to give instantaneous peak power output indication. (This receiver was way ahead of it's time)

Purchased new by me in 1978. A classic from one of the most respected producers of high-end audio. Rosewood cabinet is in perfect condition, but it is 44 yrs old so I was reluctant to rate it any higher. Everything works, but you would probably need to add an AM/FM antenna to take full benefit of the tuner section. Comes complete with the original packing materials and manual. Collectable and functional.
