Modwright Truth mods + Audio Magic Pulse Gen ZX + Bybee Rails (all available mods) Oppo BDP-105D. The power supply has the larger opening to allow for taller rectifier tubes.
Like new condition, purchased from original owner 6 months ago. Functions perfectly, and sounds dynamically open and resolved, and with varying warmth and tone, depending on tube choice. The CBS Hytrons are my favorite for resolution, soundstage depth and dynamics, and are dead neutral rather than overly warm, as some reviews claim of the Modwright Oppo player. Will include 3 different pairs of 6SN7 tubes with purchase: Electro-Harmonix 6SN7EN, CBS Hytron 6SN7GT 2-hole “bad boys”, Sylvania 6SN7GTB “Chrome dome”. All sound strong, with the Hytron and Sylvanias testing NOS.
