Otello, Arindal & Florestan were Verity's latest and most advanced generation of loudspeakers. Consequently, very few of these models exist in the USA. This is particularly true of Arindal & Florestan models due to their much shorter respective production runs.

What makes this pair of speakers extra special is a combination of their unique finish and their age. (They are one of four Quilted Macore Arindals manufactured in total worldwide. This pair of speakers were delivered to the original and only owner in September of 2022.
 

The Verity Audio Arindal model debuted in 2022 as a complete redesign of the well received Amadis S model. While similar in appearance & size, significant changes were made resulting in greatly improved performance. Further, Verity Audio, unlike the majority of well known speaker manufacturers, has never been a mass production company. Each pair of speakers is carefully and individually hand crafted by the exact same committed shop artisans that built Verity Loudspeakers in 1996.

Unfortunately, this unparalleled level of hand built loudspeaker was unsustainable given labor, parts, and material costs that exploded during the Covid period. Verity was forced to close its doors. For those hesitant to own a pair of Verity's given the above please consider the following:

We are in regular contact with the Verity principals and have obtained all permissions, information, records, and vendor contacts for all "critical" parts used in the construction of Verity Audio Loudspeakers, including all drivers ever used in every model of Verity Audio Loudspeakers built since their inception in 1995.

Still concerned? History bodes very well for Verity:

- Nearly 20 years of Parsifals (1996-2013) continue to be enjoyed, traded, and sought after. They're now a cult classic. I suspect that this will be the fate of all models that have been developed since!

- The precise drivers used by Verity in the Arindal are readily available along with every driver ever used in any other Verity model. We continue to support replacements. That said, of all of the Verity loudspeakers sold in the USA from 2013 to present, we have only replaced had to replace 3 drivers total. 

- Crossover Technology: Verity has never utilized "liquid filled" capacitors. In fact, since 1996, Verity Audio owners/customers have experienced ZERO crossover failures!

- Finishes: Another unique quality of Veritys loudspeakers is their choice not to utilize traditional lacquer or enamel clear-coat or solid paint finishes, instead opting for far more durable polyester finishes. Verity Finishes are of "Steinway quality".

- Believe it or not now that Verity's closing has been absorbed by our industry and prices of subpar products skyrocket, we're actually seeing used Verity's in very good condition increase in price.

"Arindal is a three-way floor-standing bass reflex loudspeaker with two detached boxes isolated by a platform. The upper cabinet houses a proprietary neodymium magnet ring dome tweeter and a full-range midrange driver. The lower cabinet houses an impressive woofer in bass-reflex configuration, facing towards the rear. It incorporates a unique multi-layer diaphragm made of an amalgam of paper and carbon which produces incredibly intelligible bass.

The two boxes are insulated by a solid aluminum platform equipped with special elastomers. The lower box is isolated from the floor by the MASIS (Mechanical & Airborne Sound Isolation System) base from Verity. Arindal features a breathtaking sensitivity of 93 dB SPL at 1 watt/1 meter, and inherits the best technologies from Verity Audio.
