Cary Audio SA-200.2 Power Amplifier Silver Finish - 200 WPC - Very Good!

For sale is a Cary Audio SA-200.2 power amplifier with it's box, packaging, and manual in very good condition. Our tech has confirmed that this piece is fully functional and working great. Cosmetically, this unit is in really nice shape with only a few scratches on the top plate that are hard to see unless under certain light. There is also wear on the area where the power button is that looks slightly faded. (These have been displayed in the pictures).

This is a very powerful amp that is sure to give you tremendous clarity @ 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms. This is the perfect amp of choice to pair with a tube preamp so you get the best of both worlds, with smooth mids and highs from the tubes in the preamp and an impressively tight, punchy bass response for the lows and lower mids from the solid state Cary. All and all, this is an incredibly well rounded amplifier that will make your music sound unbelievably good.

The bass quality is very good. The lower frequencies have a trace of tube-like character which gives the lower bass some extra richness, useful in a leaner system or bright room. The sound is just a bit soft and billowy, or just not as lean as the 532H. The SA-200.2 easily outperforms the vacuum-tube Manley Snappers in the bass. As with a good tube amplifier, the bass character improves as the frequencies rise up into the lower midrange.
