This is Schiit's flagship DAC with their highest performing DAC card, the MIB card. It was the first DAC that showed me what it meant to have depth in the music. It pulls out a ton of detail from the music signal and really gets out of the way to let the rest of your signal chain shine through. Even with all the detail, it is a pleasent listening experience - never harsh or lacking in any frequency ranges. It also has a non oversampling (NOS) mode that can be toggled on and off. Turning on NOS mode, to my ears, seems to expand the soundstage naturally, but you lose some of the Schiit house DAC sound (impactful bass, pleasent mids, smooth airy treble). This may be useful if you have external oversampling software that you'd prefer to use.

Selling because it has been replaced in my system with a DAC that is of the same company as my preamp and amplifier.

The Yggy is an excellent DAC and is modular so it can continue to evolve with the innovations put out by Schiit Audio. Would highly recommend it in any system that could use a truly high performing and pleasent DAC. Please enjoy!
