To those in the range maybe we can split the differrence. I am going to end the listing and hand it down to my son to use forever, even after the tubes need to be replaced eventually. ARC will tell you that the tubes are not ideal; well because they want to sell you $2000 in tubes. Previous owner did what he thought was an upgrade modification. If I knew what I was doing perhaps I would be rerluctant to at the time. Hoever, going on 3 years of ownership and the amp performs great. If the bias was set properly then the transformers can handle the load. 100 db -115 db no distortion whatsoever!
