Kuzma Analog System - Stabi R / 4Point 9 / Lyra Kleos MC Catridge

East End Hi-Fi are authorized dealers for Kuzma, and we are selling our demo analog set up consisting of the Stereophile Class A Rated Kuzma Stabi R Turntable, 4Point 9 tonearm, and a Lyra Kleos MC cartridge with 90hrs on it. This package is an amazing combination. We have tested different tonearms and cartridges with the Stabi R table and found this combination works the best!  The whole system is in excellent condition except for a couple of small scratches on the turntable base that can only be seen on one angle to the middle left and upper right of the Kuzma logo are indicated in the pictures section.

Kuzma Stabi R Turntable

The Stabi R is a surprisingly compact but unbelievably dense turntable. Machined from a single solid block of aluminum, the base alone contributes to a total weight of 36kg (nearly 80 lbs). It relies on sheer mass rather than a suspended sub-chassis to eliminate environmental vibrations.
 

• Drive System: It inherits the high-torque DC motor and proprietary, non-flexible blue plastic drive belt from Kuzma's flagship Stabi M. The electronic power supply is built directly into the chassis for a smaller footprint.

   

• Platter & Bearing: The 8kg platter uses a constrained sandwich design of aluminum and acrylic layers to damp resonance. It spins on an inverted 16mm steel shaft riding in an oil bath on a ruby ball.

Kuzma 4Point 9 Tonearm

The Kuzma 4Point 9 is the scaled-down, 9-inch version of Franc Kuzma’s acclaimed 4Point design. It strips away the massive VTA-on-the-fly tower of its larger siblings, resulting in a leaner, more affordable package that many purists believe sounds even more responsive.

• Unique Bearing: The heart of the arm is a four-point system utilizing artificial sapphire and ruby cups with steel pivots. This eliminates the chatter of traditional gimbal bearings and the structural wobbling of unipivots, giving you zero-play stability in all planes.

   

• Rigidity & Mass: Cut from a solid rod of aluminum, the tapered arm tube is incredibly rigid. While lighter than the 11-inch version, it still tips the scales at 920g, making it a high-effective-mass arm (13g) that favors low-to-medium compliance cartridges.

   

• Setup Adjustments: VTA and azimuth are precisely adjustable, though VTA requires loosening an Allen bolt rather than turning a dial while a record is playing.

• The Sound: This arm is remarkably transparent. It allows the cartridge to extract microscopic details without imposing a mechanical edge. It bridges the gap between unipivot agility and gimbaled bass grip.
