Each driver unit has been thoroughly tested and delivers the exceptional sound quality B&W is renowned for, without any unwanted anomalies. For peace of mind, both tweeter drivers show ideal resistance readings (approximately 4.3-4.5 ohms). We also took the opportunity to inspect and secure some loose terminals within one of the crossover networks, confirming the internal circuitry is pristine.
While we've noted some minor cosmetic imperfections, such as small bumps on the tweeter cone surfaces (please refer to the detailed photos) and a professional repair to one tweeter guard, it's crucial to emphasize that these do not result in any vibration or trembling sounds. The sound purity remains uncompromised.
If you haven't experienced these speakers before, prepare to be truly amazed by their sonic capabilities, which far exceed expectations for their size and vintage!
Cosmetic Condition:
The cabinets of these Silver Signature speakers are in commendable condition given their age. You'll find typical signs of a cherished, pre-owned item, including minor surface cuts, scuffs, and a bit of dust, particularly visible on the bottoms. However, as the detailed photos will show(RED oval Marks on the photos), these minor cosmetic nuances do not detract from the unit's overall beautiful presentation.
