The RoomPerfect room correction is one of the best (better than Dirac, Audyssey, ARC), and only topped by Trinnov. For use of the MX160 with an 8K TV, you can use an external video processor like the HD Fury VRROOM, which is what I did for 4K 120. MSRP was $14,000. — This is a 16 channel processor with 12 discreet channels and options for matrixed wide and top middles. The primary differences between this and the MX170 or MX180 are the number of discreet channels and HDMI inputs. The point is there is no sound quality difference between these processors. When you get the MX160, you get 12 (or 16 with matrixed) channels that are the best McIntosh has to offer in a home theater processor. Handles Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro3D. All with that great McIntosh sound and RoomPerfect correction.
