This vintage 7.1 pre-amplifier delivers exceptional performance via its analog and digital audio inputs. Please note that due to its age, the HDMI board is considered non-functional/legacy and does not support modern HDMI standards or does not function with HDMI inputs and outputs.

The demo video features the unit running through the RCA composite video outputs. All 7.1 analog inputs and outputs are fully operational. For high-definition audio (TrueHD/DTS-MA), we recommend using a modern Blu-ray player with 7.1 analog outputs; this allows the player to handle the decoding while the AV9 provides its excellent pre-amplification. Additionally, the analog stereo bypass mode is outstanding—if you prioritize music, you’ll find the transparency and low noise floor of this unit to be truly elite.
