The AMP-8040-00 is an ideal 4 zone multi-room amplifier, when paired with a Savant distributed audio solution. A distributed audio system allows different sources to be heard in each of the zones (rooms), simultaneously and independently.

The AMP-8040 is an ultra-efficient Class D digital amplifier delivering 8 channels of amplification rated at 40 watts per channel at 8 ohms in a 2U rack-space metal enclosure. It is an ideal amplifier for distributed audio applications.
The AMP-8040 complements Savant’s distributed audio solutions and are fine-tuned for any listening environment using the independent gain controls.
The audio sense mode provides energy savings by automatically detecting an audio signal on an individual channel basis and turning the specific zone on. The
amplifier is in standby mode when there is no audio signal present at any of the eight inputs.
For added installation reliability the AMP-8040 features screw terminal speaker connections, supporting up to 14- gauge speaker wire.
