I am offering for sale a gorgeous looking, excellent-sounding Audio Research GS 150 amplifier in beautiful condition. Asking $8,750. Retail price was $20,000. When adding 10% sales tax in California, the total price comes to $22,000.
The amp was used in a non-smoking home and was always completely covered when not in use to protect it from dust. Based on Audiogon's guidelines, this unit is rated at 8/10 because of a minor smudge where the tube cage contacts the amplifier (see photo). This is completely invisible when the tube cage is installed. Without this, I would have rated the unit 9/10. Tubes have 1098 hours on them.
