Herron Audio VTPH - 2AE

For sale is the legendary Herron Audio with a kicker - This is the highly acclaimed VTPH-2AE - "E" for Enhanced. This phono stage is one of the last VTPH 2A's that Keith Herron upgraded to the "2AE" that Keith did which makes it that much more rare and special. Keith no longer manufactures high end audio equipment, but he does still support it! People have been asking exactly what is in the upgrade. Well, Keith does not want to give away all of his trade secrets and would only say that "The "AE" version is a nice update with more clarity, dynamics, and a larger sound stage...in fact an overall improvement. There are several parts changes with the upgrade as an enhancement/refinement to the sound for soundstage and realism."

I know in my case that he specifically changed all the wires and capacitors in the signal path because the prior owner had coated them with what Keith dubbed as "noise dampening goo". What else gets changed I could not tell you other than it being an improved sound.

What I got back is a sublime piece of audio gear that is a joy to listen to. Doesn't really matter if your system is an elite high-end or mid-fi system, this thing will make it sing.
