I was fortunate enough to get a pair of Rick Shultz's new illumination powercords for my 300b tube monoblocks. I was using Synergistic Research Atmosphere powercords prior to the illumination arriving. Invited a couple of audiophile buddies over (who's ears I trust) to try out the new powercords. I know Ricks products are good I've owned and currently own many but we were not ready for the upgrade in performance that awaited us. Right away the blackness of my already black background got noticeably deeper and darker which naturally brought greater detail but without any degree harshness. Separation, Separation, Separation all three of us commented on how all the notes were perfectly separated and defined from each other but not in an analytical way. Realism, tone and texture and richness were all increased significantly especially in the bass frequencies. The soundstage grew in all directions, imaging provided a cleaner layout of instrument placement. Definitely one of the best "upgrades" I've done to my system said one friend.  I was expecting good things but had my expectations greatly exceeded.
