As an audio preamp, this unit employs the same type of circuitry found in McIntosh's dedicated stereo preamps, and it's even equipped with a capable Moving Magnet phono section for your turntable. That's a rare and welcome touch in a home theater processor.

Audio Formats & Processing Built-in Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoders handle the latest Blu-ray soundtracks, with additional support for Dolby Pro Logic IIz, IIx, Dolby Digital EX, DTS Neo:6, and DTS-ES. Audyssey DSX adds Wide and Height channels for expanded surround envelopment.
