Backert Labs Rhythm 1.3

This is a hybrid 1.3/1.4 preamp.  I called Backert to order a Rhythm preamp.  I asked Bob if they had plans to upgrade the Rhythm anytime soon.  He told me yes they were going to a model 1.4.  He said they had one more 1.3 box that he would put the 1.4 upgrades into bur would sell to me for the old price.  I got the fully loaded version, every upgrade they offered. That was 3 years ago so there may be improvements made since then that mine does not include. I know that they use Gaia feet now, my pre does not have those. The serial number is R2301037.  You can call Backert and they can inform you of any other changes that have been made.

This pre is a solid 9.  I cannot find any marks or scratches on it.  There are some small scratches on the chrome ends of the remote.

When I first received the Rhythm a solder connection was broken on the 2 left balanced inputs.  I sent it back to Backert, they fixed it and it has worked without a hiccup since.  I use this preamp about 8 months of the year and have not used it at all for the last year, so it's got pretty low hours on it.

It will come with 3 pair of tubes.  A pair of Brimar 13D5, which are what Backert uses for stock tubes, a pair of Sylvania 5963 (labeled Beckman), which is what Backert uses for upgraded tubes, and a pair of Amperex 7316, which have quite a few hours on them.  The Backert runs the tubes so gently that you can touch them when they are fully warmed up without burning your fingers, so, you should get some good hours out of the 7316. The Sylvanias are unused.  I have other tubes that I can sell as part of the deal if you are interested.

It will come with the original box.  There is no hard copy of the manual and there's not one on the web site.  I don't think anyone will have trouble figuring out how to set it up or use it, though.
