Devialet Expert 400

For sale is my Devialet Expert 400, one of the most elegant and high-performing integrated amplifier/DAC setups ever made.

This unit combines Devialet’s ultra-slim industrial design with serious audiophile performance: exceptional transparency, control, low noise floor, and outstanding bass authority. The Expert 400 platform is known for its powerful presentation, flexible configuration, and ability to drive demanding speakers with ease. Review coverage highlighted its quietness, resolution, neutrality, speaker control, and unusually advanced feature set for a single-box design.

The model was reviewed as offering 400W into 8 ohms, with digital inputs including AES/EBU, coaxial SPDIF, TosLink, USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi, plus software-selectable analog inputs. Devialet’s official help center still hosts the dedicated 200/400 user guide and current support documentation for the Expert line.

Even the displays on each unit are updated, changing from “Devialet 200” to “Devialet 400.” As great as the 200 was in bottom-end definition, weight, dynamic impact, and control, it was even better when running a pair of 200’s in monoblock mode. No one would listen to a single 200 and want more from the bass (I didn’t, and I’d been listening to the incomparable $155k Solution 701's, but adding a second 200 rendered a surprising increase in bottom-end punch and bass authority.
