Revel - F226 be Walnut Floor Standing Speakers
I will be out of town until Friday April 10 and will not be able to ship until Monday April 13. Take this into account if you purchase them before that time.
I purchased these speakers about 4 years ago to use in a 2 channel system in my listening room. The system sound great. I am getting older and need to get rid of some of my equipment.
Condition/Performance
I used the speakers with a Yamaha AS3000 Integrated Amp, and a Mark Levinson 585.5 Integrated amp. They are very clear and detailed speakers and have very good bass for a slim tower (with both amps I used).
They are in excellent condition, with no scratches, dents, or scuffs. The Walnut veneer is gorgeous and has a glossy finish.
They include the original owners manuals.
Shipping
I have the original boxes and packing materials (they are sturdy and like new).
$200 flat shipping to the 48 states. If you are near metro Detroit, we could arrange for the speakers to be picked up.
I have excellent feedback (100% positive) on both Audiogon and E-Bay

How many hours on them? I'm thinking of pairing them with a Rogue audio chronus dark integrated. Do you think that would be a nice pairing? Hi Mitchell,
I have owned them around 5 years. I bought them later in 2020, right after I bought my Yamaha amp. They have been together ever since. I guess I am not sure how many hours to estimate. Initially I listened intently for a couple of hours at a time - to get a feel for the sound. After I broke them in and was happy with the sound, my listening sessions became less intense. They are in my listening room which I have spent less time in over the years. I have a pair of Revel F208s with another Yamaha amp in our living room that my wife also likes - so we spend more time in there. So, definitely not high hours - but regular enough to keep the speakers and amp in shape.
I haven't heard a Rogue amp. However, your Rogue Cronus Dark amo sounds like a good amp that should provide plenty of power for the Revels to perform at their best (my Yamaha has similar 100 watts into 8 and 150 into 4 ohms). My Yamaha amp does have a pretty tubey sound for an SS amp with its Mosfets. The Revels sound great with it - good bass along with smooth detailed mids and highs. They are detailed and articulate, without being harsh. I never tire of the sound of them and the Yamaha amp. I just have too much stuff and only so much time to listen to it. Any more questions, please let me know. |
